We enjoyed a beautiful midsummer's evening at the Freewill Shakespeare festival in Edmonton's Hawerlak Park. Located in the Amplitheatrer that holds 1100 guests and surrounded by nature the nights couldn't be better. The event starts with a puppet show and progresses into a night of english classics. In this album in photos from the nights of Hamlet and Shakespeare's lesser known comedy, Comedy of Errors.
Prior to the main show is a puppet show. Shakespeare can be hard to follow so the puppet show offers a brief 15 minute synopsis by some great puppeteers. The puppet show is fun and engaging for all ages. Kids are welcome.
Most actors are local Edmonton talent that come back year after year. Be sure to come to future shows to support your local artists.
We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed the mid summer evenings. You can see the nights progress from clear sunny skies to sunset to beautiful twilight. this shoot was definatley all about the light. From crisp and clear to a vintage film touch to some light leaks. Enjoy!
